Richard Durrant contemplates the wonderful music of Agustín Barrios as he begins his 2024 No.26 Bus to Paraguay Tour this weekend…

And to celebrate at the end of the tour Richard is hosting a special event at his PluckPlankStudio in Shoreham, Sussex.

Experience elements of Richard Durrant’s Autumn touring show The Number 26 Bus to Paraguay as part of a small private audience in the guitarist’s own PluckPlankStudio in Shoreham, Sussex. This informal, intimate gathering will include an opportunity to chat about Agustín Barrios and related guitar matters with one of the world’s leading performers of this repertoire.

“It is so wonderful to be able to host guitar events at the new studio. The discussions at the first event back in July were fascinating so this should be an interesting and entertaining tour finale.“

Guitar Technique Day

9.30am to 5pm

If you are a classical player keen to progress in an exciting and productive new direction then this is for you. Guided by Richard the day will be spent studying the benefits of playing standing up using a strap. You will also explore playing scales in conjunction with gentle breathing techniques to both stabilise and strengthen your technique whilst giving you a whole new understanding of your instrument.
